Carcassonne is a tile-placement game where players first draw a tile from the stack and then placing the tile to form a beautiful part of the southern French landscape. The tiles feature various elements and scenery like a city, a cloister, a road, grassland or some combination of each.
Once a tile is placed a player can choose to place one of his worker meeples on the tile in an effort to accumulate points. After the last tile is placed, the highest scoring player wins.
Carcassonne offers various strategic playstyles. You can attempt prevent your opponents’ attempts at expanding their cities or roads or expand your own.
It’s a wonderful game for up to five players, perfect as a family board game.
